“There are a lot of very elegant homes in Washington DC. They’re classics. I think I’m influenced a lot by that. My designs are more contemporary, but I always like to pull in simple, timeless furnishings with clean lines.”
Paul Corrie’s modern twist on traditional design has caught the attention of Washington, DC’s urban style-setters. Mixing furnishings that are old and new, Corrie creates interiors that have a warm, familiar feel.
Since being established in 2001, Paul Corrie Interiors has been providing both residential and commercial clients with bespoke designs that mix together old and new furnishings through a distinctive and sophisticated point of view. An innovator in modern classical design, Paul Corrie’s ability to create interiors that have a warm, familiar feel has continued to attract new clientele locally and nationally.
Paul Corrie is a most gifted interior designer. We gave him the job of doing the design work for an apartment in Washington, D.C. Since then, he has completely renovated two condominiums for us in Panama City, Panama. His vision, and the execution of that vision, can only be described as superb. He is very easy to work with and works tirelessly until the end of the job. He does not leave any "unfinished ends!" I give him a 100% recommendation!
Paul is a consummate professional – he arrives on time for all appointments, regularly communicates as to status and next steps, and sweats the details – making sure everything is finished and done correctly (which I so appreciate).
Paul translated our goals into the colors and patterns we wanted through paint selection, window treatments, carpet, lighting, pillows and pairing our antiques with newer traditional pieces (and more antiques). What a perfect pairing! The project was never stale, not for a moment.
In 2008, Home & Design magazine called him “A Rising Star,” and in 2009, he was named one of Metropolitan Home’s favorite young designers. In 2010, Traditional Home recognized Paul Corrie as the “Favorite Young Traditional Designer of the Year.” His work has also been featured in the DC Design House.
Paul’s client work has been widely recognized and has received both national and regional attention. His work has been featured in such publications as Traditional Home, House Beautiful, New England Home, Metropolitan Home, Luxe Interiors + Design, Washington’s Home & Design, and the Washington Post.
